The anticipation of the release of Miley Cyrus's video for the song "Party in the U.S.A." has finally reached the top.  The video is currently on Youtube.  (Click here to see the video on Youtube.com)  The video features Miley Cyrus singing and dancing in the back of a pickup truck in a parking lot.  Miley Cyrus says it's a reference to her humble Tennessee upbringing.  Read more at huffingtonpost.com.

Miley Cyrus was recently seen in L.A. with her 'The Last Song' co-star Liam Hemsworth getting a little cozy.  Read the article at celebuzz.com.  The article reports that Liam was seen at her recent concert at The Staples Center in L.A.  I am sure this is not the last we will see of Miley Cyrus and Liam considering that Miley mentioned how life imitates art at her L.A. concert.

Miley Cyrus tweets, "Kinda bummed" referring to the accidental release of her Wal-mart exclusive EP.  Read about it at reuters.com.  Despite the early release the CD it still took the No. 3 spot on the Billboard 200 selling an estimated 62,000 copies in the first few days of the release.  The release coincided with the unveiling of the Miley Cyrus clothing line, Miley & Max.  Miley Cyrus continues to become a rock a star that is a force to be reckon with.

Did you catch the episode of "The Mandy and Miley Show" where we get a glimpse of the Miley Cyrus closet?  If not check out the video at airamerica.com.  I am sure that many people are jealous of the amount of clothing that is in the not-so-small closet and who would have thought that Miley Cyrus still has purses with the tags on them.  When referring to said purses Miley Cyrus stated, "Maybe I'll give it to someone for Christmas. I'm cheap".  Seriously, if you have unused purses you are not cheap and not afraid to splurge.  Rather than give them to a friend for Christmas maybe she could offer them up to fans.

Miley Cyrus gay parody video becomes an internet sensation.  Miley Cyrus tweeted that she liked the video and says "let's make one".  Watch the video of MSNBC talking about the video here.  Clearly you know you have made it to Hollywood when the gays are fans and decide to make a parody video to your music.  Reports state that Disney may even have contacted the makers of the video.  What is next?  Perhaps Miley Cyrus will make a similar video or better yet maybe this will increase her fan base.

In other Miley Cyrus news, MTV UK reports that Miley Cyrus will be on the premeire week of the new Jay Leno show starting September 14th.  Read the article at mtv.co.uk.  MTV reports that Miley Cyrus will be apart of a new segment called 10 at 10 a question segment with celebrities.  What kind of questions is Jay Leno going to ask?  Stay tuned to find out.

Most of you know that Miley Cyrus will be releasing an EP titled The Time of Our Lives on August 31st.  The EP includes a cover of the Ashlee Simpson song, "Kicking and Screaming".  Check out the music at celebuzz.com.  I have to say that they are some impressive vocals by such a young artist, we'll have to watch and see what Miley Cyrus music career matures into.

Miley Cyrus is taking iTunes by storm with the #1 selling single "Party in the U.S.A" for the third week in a row.  Read about it at allheadlinenews.com.  The single will also be included in her EP to be released next week at Walmart.  I am sure that Miley Cyrus will continue to hold on to the #1 spot for quite a bit longer.  Hey staying and pop power is unmatched right now.

Celebjihad.com posted some photos of Miley Cyrus wearing some very short shorts.  To see the pictures click here.  The author of the article is incredibly harsh on Miley Cyrus stating, "her knee caps look like an old man's face" so don't be afraid to provide some comments.  Seriously knee caps are not the most attractive part of a human body, considering she is a performer you can't expect her twigs to be as pretty as her face.  Despite the short shorts Miley Cyrus is still an amazing singer.

Latest Miley Cyrus News - August 22nd

Well in case you forgot about it, here is a little reminder.  Hannah Montana the movie, which stars Miley Cyrus, was released on video this past Tuesday.  Read about it at The Philadelphia Inquirer.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Billy Ray Cyrus defends his daughter's performance at the Teen Choice Awards.  Click here to read about it.  I blogged about the Miley Cyrus controversy last week and to no surprise it is still a hot button issue. 

See what MTV has to report about the pole dancing incident by clicking this link.  Interesting enough MTV reports that Disney has issued a statement essentially saying that what Miley Cyrus did at the Teen Choice Awards has nothing to do with Disney.

Miley Cyrus will also be on the VH1 Divas concert in September.  Click here to see the promotional poster picture.  It should be come as no suprise that Miley has caught the attention of VH1.  Miley Cyrus is currently in the No. 2 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 with the song "Party in the U.S.A."  (Read about it at billboard.com)  The article states that this is the highest ranking for Miley Cyrus on Billboard Hot 100.  I am sure it will not be the last, she has a No. 1 on the way you can bet on that!
